The Barbie Movie was lovely!

I have always loved my Barbie dolls and the creative lives they lived, and I was so excited to recognise my Barbies as part of Barbieland!

The movie presents creatively the relation between Barbieland where everything is perfect, and every day is the best day ever, and the human world where some days are happy and some are sad. We dream with our imagination and through our Barbies – anything is possible.

So living in a perfect work is perfect, right? When Barbie gets to visit the human world she is captivated by the strengths and variety of emotions that people feel; joy, pride, happiness, sadness, anger, disappointment…. Barbie’s interest remains in the back of her mind throughout the film, until the end where she needs to find out what her life is going forward. It is then she decides to live in the human world, because while it is not perfect, our ability to feel this intense joy, is the same ability that lets us feel sadness – but they are both part of the human experience, and worth it.

In the end, we are all Barbies!

I love pink and I am ready to channel my inner Barbie in this pink suit with matching jacket and skirt from Zara with a white long-sleeved t-shirt. For extra pink, I have paired with my pink bag, floral ear rings, and pink shades. The world does look pretty with a rose tint!
