While the new year is kind of old news now, how about the promises we optimistically committed to aspiring for a better and happier life? Have they become a natural part of life?

I read recently that the 15th of February often is the day New Year’s resolutions are allowed to slide into forgetfulness, so perhaps now it is a good time to reevaluate. To remind myself, the main focus for me this year is to be mindful of the energy I bring into my life, to nurture my friendships, and to maintain my daily prayers.

It has been really refreshing to rekindle this perspective in my life, and while these are ongoing pursuits, it is adding lots of joy and value to my everyday. As my long-standing mantra sounds; do whatever makes you glow… and keep twirling through life!

How is your new year so far?

This outfit is from one of the first days in the new year. Celebrating all the prospects and potentials a new lapse around the sun will bring, and celebrating the commitment to keep learning and growing..

I love this red dress from Asos Design. The dress is both romantic and fun; the sheer bat-sleeves and the waistband give the dress a sophisticated look, while the full skirt and the varied hemline add a fun twist – literally! As the photos prove, I thoroughly enjoyed twirling around!

I have paired the dress with my favourite golden embroidered platform boots from River Island, and the Breeze of Love necklace from Puppy Garden Jewellery.
